India & Mali Hold Inaugural Export Promotion Forum

On 2nd and 3rd July 2026, India and Mali held the first India–Mali Forum for Promotion of Exports to strengthen bilateral trade and investment.

Inaugural Forum: The two-day forum institutionalised economic cooperation under the theme “Reinforcing Trade and Strategic Partnerships” with government and industry participation.
Trade Growth: India–Mali bilateral trade reached US$326.61 million in FY2025–26, recording a 55% increase over the previous financial year.
Priority Sectors: Both countries identified cotton, textiles, mining, energy, agro-processing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare and education as priority areas for future cooperation.
Key Issues Discussed: Mali sought support for digital Certificate of Origin systems and pharmaceutical registration, while India requested a review of the shea-nut export ban.
