Viksit Gujarat Data Center Policy 2026-29

On 9th July 2026, the Gujarat Government launched the Viksit Gujarat Data Centre Policy 2026–29 to promote investments in hyperscale data centres, artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, and digital services.

The policy aims to position Gujarat as a leading destination for digital infrastructure by supporting India's growing digital economy.
Data centres have been recognized as strategic infrastructure under the policy.
The policy offers several fiscal incentives, including capital subsidy, interest subsidy, power tariff support, SGST reimbursement, electricity duty reimbursement, assistance for desalination plants, and stamp duty exemption.
It also provides non-fiscal incentives to facilitate the establishment of hyperscale data centres and AI infrastructure.
