‘Saushrutam 2026’

The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, under the Ministry of Ayush, successfully concluded the three-day international seminar "Saushrutam 2026" from 15 to 17 July 2026.

Key Points

Objective: The seminar was organised to honour the surgical legacy of Acharya Sushruta and to promote collaboration between Ayurveda and modern surgical sciences.
Global Platform: The seminar served as a global platform to foster scientific dialogue, promote evidence-based surgical practices, showcase technological innovations, and strengthen the global recognition of Acharya Sushruta’s surgical tradition.
Research and Innovation: The initiative aims to strengthen academic collaboration, research, and innovation between Ayurveda and modern surgical sciences.
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU): A major highlight of the event was the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AIIA and IIT Delhi for the next five years, reaffirming the commitment of both institutions towards joint research and innovation.
