National Handloom Designers’ Conclave 2026

On 10th August 2026, the National Handloom Designers’ Conclave 2026 was held in New Delhi to strengthen India’s handloom sector through design innovation and market-oriented product development.
- The handloom sector provides livelihoods to more than 35 lakh people, supported by 29 Weavers Service Centres and 357 Handloom Cluster Development Programmes.
- Around 80 design-potential clusters were taken through a structured design process, with nearly 80 designers engaged to support premium pricing and higher incomes for weavers.
- The National Handloom Design Contest 2026 recognised innovative designs across categories such as Apparel, Home Furnishing, Craft Revival and Jury’s Special Recognition.
