SIDBI–RRB MSME Co-Lending Arrangement

On 25th August 2026, Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) organised a conclave on expanding the SIDBI-RRB MSME Co-Lending arrangement with the heads of all 28 Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in New Delhi.

  • The conclave focused on expanding SIDBI-RRB MSME co-lending and improving credit access in rural and semi-urban areas.
  • The arrangement combines SIDBI’s MSME financing expertise with the extensive rural outreach of RRBs.
  • RRBs were encouraged to diversify their loan portfolios by increasing MSME lending.
  • Rule engine-based underwriting is expected to enable faster credit assessment while maintaining asset quality.
