On 13th September 2026, Indian archer Dhiraj Bommadevara became the first Indian man to win the Archery World Cup Final.

• Dhiraj defeated Japan’s Nakanishi Junya in a dramatic shoot-off in Saltillo.
• Dhiraj won 6-5 after the five-set final ended 5-5.
• He scored 10 in the shoot-off, while Nakanishi scored nine.
• Dhiraj became the first Indian man to win the men’s recurve title.
• He is a 25-year-old Army archer ranked World No. 10.
• The victory came during his third World Cup Final appearance.
• Jayanta Talukdar previously won bronze at the 2010 World Cup Final.
