Special Campaign 6.0

On 14th September 2026, the Government of India announced the launch of Special Campaign 6.0, to be undertaken from 2-31 October 2026, with special emphasis on the effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste.
Key Points
- Focus Area: The campaign will promote cleanliness, scientific waste management and environmentally responsible disposal practices, particularly for e-waste.
- Previous Campaign: Special Campaign 6.0 builds on the achievements of Special Campaign 5.0, implemented under the direction of the Ministry of Coal across its Public Sector Undertakings and field offices.
- Area Cleaned: More than 1.13 crore square feet of area was cleaned under Special Campaign 5.0.
- Scrap Disposal: Over 14,017 metric tonnes of scrap were disposed of.
- Revenue Generated: Scrap disposal generated approximately ₹56.85 crore in revenue.
