India and UK Conclude 11th Round of Talks on Free Trade Agreement

On 18th July, 2023, India and the UK have successfully concluded the eleventh round of negotiations for a proposed free trade agreement (FTA).

Key Points:

• Hybrid Negotiations: As with previous rounds, the talks were conducted in a hybrid fashion, with some Indian officials present in London for negotiations while others participated virtually.
• Technical Discussions: The negotiations involved nine policy areas and more than 42 separate sessions of technical discussions.
• Upcoming 12th Round of Negotiations: The 12th round of negotiations is scheduled to take place in the coming month.
