Indian Navy Commissions INS Tarmugli

On 14th December, 2023, Vice Admiral Chief of Materiel (COM) of the Indian Navy, led the commissioning of INS Tarmugli, a fast attack craft, at a ceremony held at the naval dockyard under the Eastern Naval Command (ENC) in Vizag(Andhra Pardesh).

  • Dual-Nation Service History: INS Tarmugli, originally commissioned as INS Tillanchang in the Indian Navy, served actively until 2006.
  • Later, it was gifted to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) and operated as MCGS Huravee from April 16, 2006, until its decommissioning in May 2023.
