Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs Inaugurates 'URBAN SQUARE' Exhibition

On 3^rd January, 2023, Union Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, unveiled the 'URBAN SQUARE' exhibition, providing an immersive urban experience featuring a wide array of products and celebrating the talents of marginalized urban communities.

• Diverse Offerings: 'URBAN SQUARE' presents an immersive urban experience with a range of products, including handlooms, upcycled décor, pottery, packaged food, handicrafts, and delectable street food.
• Participation: The exhibition boasts the participation of 150 exhibitors, showcasing the skills of urban Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under DAY-NULM and street food vendors under PM SVANidhi from various regions of the country.
• Celebrating Marginalized Communities: Aligned with the 'AtmaNirbhar Bharat' vision, the event at ITPO is a part of the 'AtmaNirbhar Bharat Utsav' at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, emphasizing the spirit and skills of marginalized urban communities.
• Inclusive City Concept: 'URBAN SQUARE' communicates the essence of an inclusive city by integrating street vendors and urban self-help group members in a public space designed for people from all walks of life.
