- 04 Sep 2024

The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has approved ENTOD Pharmaceuticals' PresVu eye drops, designed to reduce the need for reading glasses in individuals with presbyopia, a common age-related vision issue.
- ENTOD Pharmaceuticals’ PresVu eye drops have been developed specifically to address presbyopia, a condition affecting individuals over 40 by reducing their dependency on reading glasses.
 - The approval from DCGI follows a recommendation from the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO).
 - PresVu eye drops employ advanced dynamic buffer technology that quickly adjusts to tear pH, ensuring consistent efficacy and safety over prolonged use.
 - The eye drops also offer the additional benefit of lubricating the eyes, enhancing comfort for users who might use them regularly for years.
 - ENTOD Pharmaceuticals has applied for a patent for the formulation and process of PresVu, underscoring its innovative approach to treating presbyopia.
