President Confers 69 Padma Awards for 2025

On 27th May 2025, President Droupadi Murmu presented the Padma Awards to 69 distinguished individuals during the second Civil Investiture Ceremony for 2025 held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

Three eminent personalities were honoured with the Padma Vibhushan, nine received the Padma Bhushan, and 57 individuals were conferred with the Padma Shri for their outstanding contributions in various fields.
Former Chief Justice of India Jagdish Singh Khehar was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in the field of Public Affairs, while classical dancer Kumudini Lakhia received the same honour in the Arts category.
Renowned folk singer Sharda Sinha was posthumously conferred with the Padma Vibhushan for her remarkable contribution to Indian folk music and cultural heritage.
The Padma Bhushan was awarded to personalities including Sattriya dance exponent Jatin Goswami, Sanskrit scholar Kailash Nath Dixit, and spiritual leader Sadhvi Ritambhara for their significant achievements.
Economist and policy expert Bibek Debroy was posthumously honoured with the Padma Bhushan for his pivotal role in economic reforms and public policy.
