On 30th May 2025, President Droupadi Murmu conferred the National Florence Nightingale Awards 2025 on 15 distinguished nursing professionals at Rashtrapati Bhavan for their exceptional service in the field of nursing.

  • The awards were presented at a formal ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, attended by key dignitaries including Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Ministers of State Anupriya Patel and Prataprao Jadhav.
  • The National Florence Nightingale Award, instituted in 1973 by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, recognizes exemplary contributions by nurses across India.
  • This year’s 15 awardees were selected for their outstanding dedication, compassion, and significant impact in healthcare delivery and patient care.
  • The award aims to acknowledge the vital role of nursing professionals in the health system, especially for their frontline contributions during health crises and emergencies.
