DRDO Transfers 9 Defence Technologies to Industry

On 8th June 2025, DRDO’s Vehicle Research and Development Establishment (VRDE) transferred the technologies of nine advanced defence systems to ten Indian industries in a significant boost to indigenous defence manufacturing.

  • The technology transfer took place at VRDE’s facility in Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, highlighting DRDO’s push towards promoting self-reliance in defence production.
  • Among the systems transferred are critical platforms like the CBRN Recce Vehicle, Mounted Gun System, Anti-Terrorist Vehicle, and Vajra-Riot Control Vehicle.
  • On the sidelines of the event, VRDE signed a memorandum of understanding with COEP Technological University, Pune, to work together on cutting-edge technologies and research.
