Monaco Marine Conference

On 8th June 2025, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh met Norway’s Minister Åsmund Grøver Aukrust in Monaco, where both nations reaffirmed solidarity and expanded cooperation in ocean-based sustainability and marine research.
- The two leaders held detailed discussions on enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas such as Marine Spatial Planning (MSP), Arctic research, and building a resilient Blue Economy.
- Dr. Singh also addressed the Monaco Marine Conference, where he reiterated India’s sustained commitment to promoting a resilient and inclusive Blue Economy.
- The Union Minister praised the success of Indo-Norwegian pilot projects in Puducherry and Lakshadweep, which tackled key issues like coastal erosion, marine biodiversity, sustainable fisheries, tourism, and environmental conservation.
