India among Top 100 in Sustainable Development Index 2025

On 24th June 2025, India ranked 99th with a score of 67 in the Sustainable Development Index 2025, as per the report released by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. This is the first time India has entered the top 100 since the launch of the SDG Index.

- Key Global Trends:Only 17% of SDG targets are progressing as planned; none of the 17 Global Goals are on track for full achievement by 2030.
- New Indicator Added:The SDR included a new metric under SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) — Minimum dietary diversity among children aged 6–23 months.
