The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports launched a national youth-led movement titled ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ at the Youth Spiritual Summit held on the banks of the Ganga from July 19–20.

  • Aimed at mobilising India’s youth—who constitute over 65% of the population—the initiative seeks to combat drug addiction and drive the vision of a developed, drug-free India.
  • Set in a spiritually resonant environment, the summit combines cultural engagement with policy dialogue, drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s ideals of self-discipline and national service.
  • The summit’s core outcome, the Kashi Declaration, will present a youth-led action roadmap with defined targets, timelines and accountability mechanisms.
