India Joins Bright Star 2025 Military Exercise

On 28th August 2025, over 700 personnel from the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff began participation in Exercise Bright Star 2025, a multilateral tri-service drill hosted by Egypt in partnership with the United States.
- Exercise Bright Star 2025 is scheduled to take place from August 28 to September 10, making it one of the most significant multilateral military events in the region this year.
- First held in 1980, Bright Star has evolved into one of the largest biennial tri-service military exercises, drawing wide participation from countries across the globe.
- India’s participation in the exercise involves more than 700 personnel representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, marking one of the country’s most comprehensive overseas deployments for such a drill.
- The 2025 edition of Bright Star will feature live-firing demonstrations by all three services, designed to showcase advanced combat capabilities and operational readiness in realistic battlefield scenarios.
