Oman to Launch Revamped Golden Visa Programme

From 31st August 2025, Oman will roll out its updated Golden Visa programme, as part of efforts to attract foreign investment and align with the country’s Vision 2040 economic diversification goals.

The revamped programme will offer renewable residency permits of five or ten years to foreign investors, entrepreneurs, retirees, and skilled professionals, allowing them and their families to live, work, and study in Oman without requiring a local sponsor.
A ten-year visa option will be available for applicants investing a minimum of OMR 500,000 (USD 1.3 million) or creating a business employing at least 50 Omani nationals.
A five-year visa will require an investment of at least OMR 250,000 (USD 650,000), while a dedicated five-year retirement visa will be available for those with a fixed monthly income of OMR 4,000 or more.
Visa holders will enjoy benefits including full business ownership rights, property ownership in designated freehold zones, and access to Oman’s healthcare and education systems.
