Indian President Hosts Mongolian President

On 14th October 2025, President of India, Droupadi Murmu, hosted Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, President of Mongolia, at Rashtrapati Bhavan as part of his official visit marking the 70th anniversary of India-Mongolia diplomatic relations.

Bilateral Engagement: Indian President welcomed President and his delegation, emphasizing India-Mongolia shared cultural heritage, democratic values, and referring to Mongolia as a ‘Strategic Partner’, ‘Third Neighbour’, and ‘Spiritual Neighbour’.
Cultural Cooperation: Over the past 25 years, India has undertaken initiatives in Mongolia including restoration of Buddhist monasteries and reprinting ancient manuscripts; the newly signed MoU on cultural exchange programs will strengthen cultural collaboration.
Cybersecurity & Military Support: Mongolia expressed gratitude for India’s support in cybersecurity and enhancement of Mongolian Armed Forces capabilities.
Infrastructure Collaboration: The visit recalled the ground-breaking ceremony of Mongolia’s Oil Refinery Project, with invitations extended to Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for its inauguration.
Strengthening Strategic Ties: Both leaders agreed to expand bilateral cooperation into contemporary areas to benefit citizens of both nations, reinforcing enduring diplomatic and people-to-people ties.
