On 15th October 2025, veteran television actor Pankaj Dheer, best known for his iconic role as Karn in BR Chopra’s Mahabharat, passed away, leaving fans and the film fraternity in deep sorrow.

• Pankaj Dheer, who played Kunti’s son Karn in the epic TV series Mahabharat that aired on Doordarshan from 1988, became a household name and remains one of the most celebrated television actors of his generation.
• The actor was suffering from cancer.
