100 Day Campaign for a Child Marriage Free Bharat

On 4th December 2025, Union Minister of Women and Child Development (WCD) launched the 100-Day Intensive Awareness Campaign for a Child Marriage Free Bharat in New Delhi, marking the first anniversary of the Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat initiative.

Key Points

Nationwide Awareness Drive: The 100-day campaign will conduct structured awareness activities in schools, colleges, universities, and Panchayats to strengthen grassroots engagement.
Community Mobilisation Activities: Awareness rallies, nukkad nataks, wall paintings, poster competitions, debates and pledge ceremonies will be organised to involve citizens and communities.
Child Marriage Free India by 2030: The WCD Minister emphasised that with active participation from society, the nation is progressing steadily toward eliminating child marriage.
Campaign Culmination: The awareness drive will conclude on International Women’s Day next year.
