e-Bill System

On 1st January 2026, in line with Digital India and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the Department of Fertilizers has launched a fully digital and integrated fertiliser subsidy claim process.

  • The new platform will enable end-to-end online processing of fertiliser subsidy claims worth nearly ₹2 lakh crore annually.
  • The Minister said the reform will strengthen transparent, efficient and accountable governance, supporting India’s goal of becoming a developed nation.
  • The e-Bill system replaces manual, paper-based procedures with a completely digital, system-to-system workflow, eliminating physical movement of bills.
  • The platform integrates the Department’s Integrated Financial Management System (iFMS) with the Public Financial Management System of the Controller General of Accounts.
