Gujarat Launches Mukhyamantri Gramotthan Yojana

On 30th January 2026, Gujarat CM launched the state-wide Mukhyamantri Gramotthan Yojana from Bhadran.

The scheme marks a strategic shift towards providing urban-equivalent facilities in rural areas, aiming to bridge the rural–urban development gap.
In the first phase, 114 villages that function as Taluka headquarters will be upgraded with modern infrastructure.
Key facilities include high-quality road networks, underground drainage systems, solar-powered street lights, and digital e-Gram services.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for 2,666 Gram Panchayat Ghar-cum-Talati Awas buildings.
The project involves an investment of ₹663 crore, strengthening grassroots governance infrastructure
