Suraksha Sankalp Karyashala on HIV/AIDS Held

On 20th March 2026, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, through the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), convened the Suraksha Sankalp Karyashala in Delhi.

  • The initiative aims to strengthen district-level HIV/AIDS response.
  • It focused on Haryana and Delhi as priority regions.
  • It emphasised data-driven and district-specific strategies.
  • The programme aligns with global 95:95:95 HIV targets.
  • Targets include diagnosis, treatment and viral suppression.
  • Delhi shows gaps with around 70% treatment coverage.
  • Haryana reported progress with 81:83:95 cascade.
  • HIV prevalence is 0.33% in Delhi and 0.24% in Haryana.
  • A total of 219 districts are identified as priority areas.
