Ministry of Ayush Signs MoU with BHASHINI

On 14th May 2026, the Ministry of Ayush signed an MoU with the Digital India BHASHINI Division under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

• The partnership aims to strengthen multilingual access to Ayush digital services using AI-powered language technologies.
• The collaboration is being implemented under the initiative “BHASHINI Rajyam - A BHASHINI Sahayogi Program.”
• The initiative will integrate the BHASHINI platform across Ayush Grid portals, applications and AI-enabled services in all 22 scheduled Indian languages.
• The ministry stated that the collaboration will support faster transcription and translation of traditional knowledge systems including Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Yoga, Naturopathy, Sowa-Rigpa and Homoeopathy.
• The initiative also aims to improve grassroots healthcare access through multilingual AI-driven doctor-patient interaction systems and citizen-centric digital services.
• The ministry stated that Ayush Grid portals, including the Yoga Portal and MAISP, have already integrated BHASHINI tools with positive feedback from users.
• The partnership will also explore integration with the NAMASTE Portal for developing standardised healthcare terminologies and future AI models.
