On 20th May 2026, Raghav Chadha was appointed Chairman of the Committee on Petitions of the Rajya Sabha.

• The appointment was announced through a notification issued after the committee was reconstituted by Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan.
• 9 other members were also nominated by the Vice President to the panel.
• In a separate notification, Menaka Guruswamy was nominated to the Joint Committee on the Corporate Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
