India’s Largest Biomedical Innovation Transfer Event

On 25th May 2026, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) organised the “Medical Innovations Patent Mitra: Innovators-to-Industry (I2I) Connect” event in New Delhi.

  • The event was aimed at accelerating commercialization and technology transfer of indigenous healthcare innovations and was described as India’s largest biomedical innovation facilitation programme.
  • A major highlight of the event was the transfer of 41 public health technologies from ICMR institutes and innovators to industry partners for manufacturing and commercialization.
  • The transferred technologies included vaccines, diagnostics, medical devices and biomedical solutions targeting major public health challenges.
