Urban Road Paving and Greening Framework

On 8th June 2026, the CSIR-Central Road Research Institute and the Government of Haryana signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for implementing the “Standard Framework for Paving and Greening of Urban Roads” across the state.

• The programme aims to reduce road dust emissions and improve urban air quality through scientific and technology-driven interventions.
• Road dust has been identified as a major contributor to particulate air pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR).
