Passport Seva Divas

On 24th June 2026, Passport Seva Divas is being observed to commemorate the enactment of the Passports Act, 1967.

• The year 2026 marked the 14th Passport Seva Divas.
• External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighted the achievements of the Passport Seva Programme 2.0, including the rollout of chip-enabled e-Passports, expansion of Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs) and Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs), and record passport issuance.
• Passport Seva Divas recognises the contribution of passport authorities in India and abroad towards providing efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly passport services.
