India and EU Expand Technology Partnership

On 15th July 2026, India and the European Union strengthened cooperation in trade, technology, clean energy and innovation during the 3rd India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) meeting in Brussels.

- Digital Cooperation: Both sides will collaborate on AI, semiconductors, quantum technologies, high-performance computing, digital identity and next-generation telecommunications.
- Semiconductor Partnership: A joint roundtable will be held at Semicon India 2026 to promote research, investment and capacity building in semiconductors.
- Innovation Hub: India and the EU will establish their first Innovation Hub for electric vehicle charging technologies and testing.
- Clean Technology: Cooperation will expand in green hydrogen, battery recycling, marine pollution monitoring and renewable energy technologies.
- Resilient Supply Chains: Both sides agreed to strengthen supply chains in pharmaceuticals, agri-food, clean technologies and critical sectors.
- Startup Collaboration: A Deep-Tech Startup Partnership and the proposed Blue Valleys initiative will promote innovation, industrial clusters and commercialization.
