Electronic Family Register and Family Register Certificate

On 25th July 2026, the Telangana Government introduced a State-wide electronic Telangana Family Register and Family Register Certificate (FRC) to simplify access to government services and provide citizens with an authenticated digital record of family composition.

  • The Family Register will be maintained electronically using data from the Food Security Card (FSC)/Ration Card database of the Civil Supplies Department.
  • The Food Security Card number will serve as the Family Register Identification Number.
  • The register will include details such as family members' names, relationship with the head of the family, age, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar details, and residential address.
  • Citizens can apply through MeeSeva centres, the online portal, or the mobile application using the ration card number and the prescribed fee.
