600-Passenger Luxury Cruise on the Narmada River

On 4th August 2026, the Gujarat Government announced the launch of a 600-passenger luxury cruise on the Narmada River near the Statue of Unity at Ekta Nagar, aiming to promote river tourism and enhance the visitor experience.
- The new luxury cruise will begin commercial operations after obtaining all statutory approvals and meeting prescribed safety standards.
- It will operate near the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Narmada district, complementing the existing 200-passenger cruise service.
- The 30-metre-long and 12-metre-wide vessel can accommodate 600 passengers, making it one of the largest river cruises in the region.
- The cruise is designed as a multi-purpose floating venue for sightseeing, corporate events, destination weddings, cultural programmes, musical performances and private celebrations.
