NCC Girls High Altitude Trek ‘Aparajita – Parang La 2026’

On 18th August 2026, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh flagged off the All India Girls High Altitude Long Trek ‘Aparajita – Parang La 2026’ in New Delhi.

• The expedition is a flagship adventure activity of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
• The 30-day trek will cover the 250-km Parang La Pass route connecting Spiti Valley with Ladakh’s Changthang region.
• Parang La is regarded as one of India’s most challenging high-altitude trekking routes.
• The expedition comprises 28 Girl Cadets led by three women officers representing the three armed services.
• The trek aims to develop leadership, mental resilience, discipline and self-confidence among young cadets.
