8th BRICS Youth Energy Summit 2026

On 17th August 2026, India hosted the eighth BRICS Youth Energy Summit virtually under its BRICS Chairship, focusing on inclusive energy cooperation.

• The summit was held under the theme “सर्वेषां ऊर्जम्” (Energy for All), emphasising affordable and inclusive energy access.
• Over 100 young energy professionals, policymakers, academics and international representatives participated in the summit.
• More than 20 youth panellists discussed energy security, energy access and technology-driven innovation.
• Discussions focused on diversifying energy mixes, resilient supply chains, innovative financing and digitalisation of energy systems.
