AIIA Launches ‘Garbhini Mitra’ Course

Recently, All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi, launched the ‘Garbhini Mitra’ course for the 2026-27 academic session.

The six-month offline course aims to train personnel in pregnancy and postnatal health support.
The programme is based on Ayurvedic concepts of Garbhini Paricharya, Sutika Paricharya and Garbhadhana Vidhi.
The curriculum covers pregnancy diet, lifestyle guidance, yoga, emotional support and newborn care.
It also includes training in infection control, sanitisation, biomedical waste management and basic life support.
Candidates must have passed Class 12 and be at least 18 years old to apply.
Each batch will admit a maximum of 20 students at the AIIA campus in Sarita Vihar, New Delhi.
