Primetime Emmy Awards 2026

On 14th September 2026, the Primetime Emmy Awards honoured major television performances and productions.

“Widow’s Bay” dominated the awards with six honours.
Apple TV’s “Widow’s Bay” won the Best Comedy Series award.
“The Pitt” won its second consecutive Best Drama Series Emmy.
Jean Smart won her fifth Emmy for Hacks.
Smart became the first performer to win Best Comedy Actress for every season of her show.
Matthew Rhys won two acting honours at the same ceremony.
Rhys won Best Comedy Actor for Widow’s Bay.
He also won Best Actor in a Limited Series for The Beast in Me.
Stephen Root won Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for Widow’s Bay.
“DTF St. Louis” won Best Limited Series.
