Digital Portal Launched for Livestock Insurance

On September 28, 2026, Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh 'Lalan Singh' launched the 'Pashudhan Bima Portal' in New Delhi to digitize livestock insurance services.
Key Facts
- Integrated Platform: The portal provides policy issuance, claim processing, monitoring, and reporting for livestock insurance on a single digital platform.
- Multilingual Feature: In addition to Hindi and English, the portal will be available in 11 regional languages, providing services in a total of 13 languages.
- Scheme Integration: The portal digitizes services related to insured livestock under the Livestock Insurance Scheme of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
- Objective: The initiative aims to strengthen risk protection for livestock farmers by making livestock insurance services more transparent, efficient, accessible, and technology-driven.
- Digital Monitoring: The portal will enhance service delivery of insurance programs through better coordination, real-time monitoring, and data-driven management.
