Daljit Singh Chaudhary Appointed SSB Director General

The order issued by the Personnel Ministry on 19^th January, 2024, appointed senior IPS officer Daljit Singh Chaudhary as Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

• Tenure: His time in this position is until 30th November, 2025 which corresponds to the date of his superannuation.
• Background and Cadre: Daljit Singh Chaudhary is a senior IPS officer, having been appointed to CRPF as Special Director General. He belongs to the 1990 batch of IPS, from Uttar Pradesh cadre.
• SSB's Strategic Role: It will be under the guidance of Chaudhary that SSB shall protect India’s borders with Nepal and Bhutan. The force contributes significantly to the protection and stability of borders.
