Maharashtra’s First LNG-powered Launched

On 15th March, Maharashtra launched its first LNG-powered bus, aiming to convert 5000 diesel vehicles to LNG.
- The bus will be operated by the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation.
- MSRTC plans to convert 5000 diesel vehicles to LNG alternative fuel vehicles gradually.
- Converting buses to LNG is estimated to reduce pollution by 10% and significantly lower fuel costs.
- MSRTC has signed an MoU with M/s Kings Gas for the conversion project, which includes fuel supply.
- LNG distribution facilities will be set up at 90 depots across the state to support the transition.
