International Museum Day

On 18th May 2025, International Museum Day was celebrated across India with free entry to all Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) monuments and museums to promote cultural awareness and public engagement.

  • The Archaeological Survey of India waived entry fees to all 52 of its site museums and 3,698 protected monuments nationwide for the day.
  • This initiative was part of the global observance of International Museum Day, held annually to highlight the importance of museums in cultural exchange and understanding.
