Government Launches ‘Fare Se Fursat’

On 13th October 2025, Civil Aviation Minister launched ‘Fare Se Fursat’, a first-of-its-kind fixed airfare scheme introduced by government-owned regional carrier Alliance Air, aimed at making air travel more affordable and predictable for passengers.

Affordable and Predictable Air Travel: The initiative allows passengers to book tickets at a single fixed fare that remains unchanged regardless of the booking date — even on the day of departure.
Pilot Phase: The scheme will run from 13^th October to 31^st December 2025, across select routes to evaluate operational feasibility and passenger response.
Alignment with UDAN Vision: The Minister said the scheme reflects the spirit of the UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) programme, fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of democratizing aviation and making it accessible to middle and lower-income groups.
Supporting Regional Connectivity: Calling Alliance Air the “backbone” of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), he praised its bold “One Route, One Fare” model as a step towards equitable air travel.
Enhancing Passenger Experience: The Minister highlighted other recent people-oriented initiatives, such as Udan Yatri Cafes offering affordable food and beverages at airports.
