CPR Awareness Week 2025

On 13th October 2025, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched CPR Awareness Week 2025 to promote lifesaving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills among citizens and encourage community participation in emergency response.
- The campaign, being held from October 13 to 17, was inaugurated by Union Health Secretary in New Delhi, marking a national movement to make CPR knowledge accessible to all sections of society.
- Over 15,000 participants from hospitals, medical institutions, NGOs, and civil society across India joined the launch event, which featured live hands-only CPR demonstrations by trained medical experts.
- The campaign will include hands-on and virtual CPR demonstrations, expert talks, public awareness drives, and panel discussions to enhance understanding and readiness among citizens.
- To increase public engagement, the Ministry has collaborated with the MyGov and MyBharat platforms, allowing citizens to take online CPR pledges and participate in interactive quizzes to test their knowledge.
