On 31st October 2025, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) announced that a total of 1,466 personnel from States, Union Territories, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and Central Police Organisations (CPOs) have been conferred with the prestigious Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak for their exemplary service and professional excellence.

  • The Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak was instituted by the Ministry of Home Affairs to honour exceptional dedication, professionalism, and outstanding performance in police and security services across the nation.
  • Established through an official MHA notification dated February 1, 2024, the award recognises contributions in four critical domains — Special Operations, Investigation, Intelligence, and Forensic Science.
  • The award initiative was launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah, reinforcing the government’s commitment to encouraging high professional standards in policing.
  • A total of 1,466 officers and officials have been recognised for their exemplary work, representing diverse arms of India’s security ecosystem, including State Police Forces, CAPFs, CPOs, and Forensic Science units.
