On 13th November 2025, India reaffirmed its zero-tolerance approach to terrorism during the 8th India–Spain Foreign Office Consultations held in New Delhi.

  • Comprehensive Bilateral Review: They reviewed cooperation in political, economic, commercial, infrastructure, railways, defence and security, science and technology, cultural, tourism, and people-to-people ties.
  • C-295 Aircraft Project: Both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Make in India C-295 aircraft programme; the first aircraft is expected to roll out from the Airbus-TATA final assembly line in Vadodara next year.
  • 70th Anniversary Celebrations: India and Spain agreed that 2026 — marked as the India-Spain Year of Culture, Tourism and Artificial Intelligence — will further boost bilateral cooperation.
  • Strengthened Momentum in Ties: Both sides noted the upward trajectory in relations following high-level visits, including President Pedro Sanchez’s visit to India (October 2024) and EAM Dr. S Jaishankar’s visit to Spain (January 2025).
