National Gopal Ratna Awards 2025

On 26th November 2025, Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Rajiv Rajan Singh conferred the National Gopal Ratna Awards 2025 in New Delhi on the occasion of National Milk Day.

• The Minister inaugurated Breed Multiplication Farms to enhance the availability of high-yielding cattle and improve genetic upgradation across states.
• The Guidelines for Minimum Requirements of Veterinary Infrastructure in India were launched to standardise veterinary services and strengthen last-mile animal health delivery.
• The Ministry released Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics 2025, offering updated and comprehensive data to support evidence-based policy planning.
• A key highlight was the flagging off of 20 National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD)-assisted milk tankers of the Mohali Milk Union by the Union Minister.
