Divya Kala Mela Celebrates Inclusive Entrepreneurship

On 21st December 2025, the 28th edition of Divya Kala Mela concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony at Kartavya Path, showcasing the talent and enterprise of Persons with Disabilities from across India.

  • The nine-day Divya Kala Mela highlighted the creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit of Divyangjan, bringing together over 100 artisans and entrepreneurs from 20 States under one inclusive platform.
  • The mela was organised by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, with the objective of promoting self-reliance and economic empowerment among Persons with Disabilities.
  • Visitors witnessed a wide range of products displayed and sold by Divyang participants, including handicrafts, home décor items, textiles, and other creative works that reflected regional diversity and traditional skills.
  • The closing ceremony featured cultural performances by Divyang artists, encompassing music, dance, and folk traditions, which received widespread appreciation and reinforced the message of inclusive cultural participation.
