Gujarat RERA Implements New SOP
- 27 Dec 2025
On 26th December 2025, the Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Gujarat RERA) implemented a comprehensive new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure faster, more transparent and streamlined redressal of complaints.
- The SOP follows a digital-first approach, strengthening the existing online system while clearly defining procedural timelines and responsibilities.
- The primary objective is to deliver quicker justice to homebuyers while enabling promoters to submit timely and effective responses.
- Online filing of complaints has been prioritised, allowing property buyers to lodge complaints from home through the Gujarat RERA portal.
- While offline filing remains available, online submissions will be encouraged for speedier disposal of cases.
- After online filing, complainants must submit a physical copy of the complaint within seven days to the RERA office.
- To reduce procedural delays, complainants are required to upload all relevant documents - including proof of payment and a detailed statement of events - at the time of filing.
