Prasar Bharati Launches ‘Creator’s Corner’

On 9th January 2026, Prasar Bharati launched “Creator’s Corner”, a new segment on DD News to provide a national platform for emerging digital content creators from across India.

The initiative aligns with the Centre’s efforts to recognise, mainstream and strengthen India’s growing creator economy.
Referring to the WAVES platform, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting said it has emerged as a game changer for the Orange Economy, enabling opportunities for one crore young creators, generating employment and contributing nearly ₹5,000 crore in economic activity.
Information & Broadcasting Secretary said Creator’s Corner aims to build a vibrant, responsible and inclusive content ecosystem, recognising creators as full-fledged content producers.
The segment will debut on DD News and later expand to other Doordarshan channels, with a dedicated prime-time slot to ensure wider reach.
