National Conference on Tackling Cyber-Enabled Frauds

On 11th February 2026, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) concluded a two-day National Conference on “Tackling Cyber-Enabled Frauds & Dismantling the Ecosystem” in New Delhi.

  • The conference featured discussions on regulatory reforms, the use of artificial intelligence, and strengthening global cooperation to address the growing scale and complexity of cybercrime.
  • Participants highlighted the emerging threat of “cyber slavery,” including recruitment of victims into overseas scam networks, and stressed the need for preventive mechanisms, international coordination, and rehabilitation frameworks.
  • The role of social media platforms, messaging services, and digital intermediaries in facilitating fraud was examined, with emphasis on faster data sharing and stronger accountability.
