National Conference on Tackling Cyber-Enabled Frauds

On 11th February 2026, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) concluded a two-day National Conference on “Tackling Cyber-Enabled Frauds & Dismantling the Ecosystem” in New Delhi.

The conference featured discussions on regulatory reforms, the use of artificial intelligence, and strengthening global cooperation to address the growing scale and complexity of cybercrime.
Participants highlighted the emerging threat of “cyber slavery,” including recruitment of victims into overseas scam networks, and stressed the need for preventive mechanisms, international coordination, and rehabilitation frameworks.
The role of social media platforms, messaging services, and digital intermediaries in facilitating fraud was examined, with emphasis on faster data sharing and stronger accountability.
